Centuries before the later legend of Brunhild, a small kingdom survives by forming a pact with a divine dragon. Brunhild is born into the line of dragon priestesses, women able to understand the creature’s words and responsible for maintaining the agreement that protects their people. As she inherits the rituals and burdens passed down through her family, she begins confronting the terrible cost hidden beneath the kingdom’s prosperity.
