Shin arrives at Hinomoto, land of the samurai, in order to safely send off the two women he met on his travels, Kanade Kujo and Karin Saegusa. Shin leads Kanade, who is desperate to save her sister from a devastating disease, on a search for a rare, magical healing herb. To find it, they must ascend to the peak of sacred Mt. Huji. But awaiting them at the top, shrouded in an impenetrable haze, is a powerful foe that Shin struggled with back in the game . . .
