Tankobonbon Library Music Requests ♪
Help us build the library's background music pool. You may submit anime-related songs you would enjoy hearing while reading, check the review status of past requests, and open our current playlists from this page.
You see, our library isn't a traditional everything-is-quiet library. Since we're mainly a by fans, for fans place, we wish it would be a comfortable place for an anime and manga fan to stay. So apart from the typical non-copyright music, we plan to also play anime-related songs as ambient background music while you read, but in a very minimal volume. (Soundproofing is also our problem, so we'd like to alleviate the car sounds with some music~)
The playlist still has to suit a reading room, though. A song may be an incredible banger and still be slightly too powerful for someone trying to survive volume 12 in peace.
Every request is only a suggestion. A track must pass our curation, information, and licensing checks before it can be played inside the library.

A song appearing in the request tracker does not mean it has been approved for library use. The tracker also keeps requests that are pending, on hold, unavailable under our current licensing path, or saved for later review.
What You May Request
- Anime opening and ending themes, which receive first priority.
- Insert songs, character songs, and instrumental anime soundtracks.
- Non-anime songs are lowest priority.
- Tracks that are comfortable enough to hear at low volume while people are reading.
- Tracks that are not already listed in the current playlist or request tracker.
Not every song can be licensed for playback inside the library. A track may be available on a streaming service but still be unavailable through the rights and licensing routes accessible to us.
Selection priority
We currently prioritize anime openings and endings because they are the clearest fit for the library's playlist. Other anime-related music is still welcome, but it may be reviewed later or placed in a separate playlist.
Volume and atmosphere
You may still submit loud songs and let us make the final call. We are simply building a reading-space playlist, not attempting to recreate the final round of an arena rhythm game beside the shelves.

Best when you want to provide complete links, work codes, and details for one track.
You may submit the form again for another song.

Best when you already have several songs prepared and can follow the pipe-separated format exactly.
Place one song on each line. Leave unavailable fields with three dashes ---, but keep every pipe separator.

Draft long bulk entries somewhere safe before pasting them into the form. Refreshing or closing the form may erase unsent work.
How a Request Is Reviewed
Submission check We confirm that the row is readable, identify the track, and separate any bulk entries.
Metadata checkWe verify the title, artist, anime connection, year, platform links, and available work identifiers.
Licensing reviewWe check the relevant rights databases, licensing organizations, and other applicable approval paths. This takes time.
Playlist decisionApproved tracks may be added to the appropriate playlist. Other tracks may remain pending, be placed on hold, or be marked unavailable under the current route.
You'll hear it! Thank you for your submission. If it has passed all the stages, the song will be played in the library.

Finding a JASRAC Work Code
Providing a work code is optional, but it can make our review faster.
- Open J-WID ↗ and enter the Japanese title on 作品タイトル (Work Title). You may also input the artist name on アーティスト名 (Artist name).
- Choose the song on the results and click the purple 詳細 (Detail) button, a new tab will open.
- Make sure all the boxes under 管理状況(利用分野) (Management; Area of use) have a circle ( ○ ) on them, which means OK. We technically only need the BGM part in circle, but to be super sure, we require ALL in circle. Not triangle. Not X.
- If it is all in circle, you can see the 作品コード (Work Code) at the very top of the page. Please copy that code and paste it here. If you also see an ISWC (International Standard (M)usical Work Code), please input that on the next field, but some works may not have it and it's OK.
- If you are unsure whether the result is correct, leave the field blank instead of guessing.
What is an ISWC?
An ISWC (International Standard (M)usical Work Code) is an international identifier for a musical work. It commonly begins with the letter T and may appear in a rights-database record.
It is optional. Leave the field blank when you cannot find a reliable match.
Why Are YouTube Music and Spotify Links Requested?
Platform links help us confirm the exact recording you meant. Songs may have several versions, covers, remasters, live recordings, or similarly titled releases.
A platform link is used for identification and playlist preparation. It does not by itself confirm that the track is licensed for in-library playback.
Can I Submit More Than One Request?
Yes. You may submit the single-song form repeatedly or use the bulk-entry option for a prepared list.
Please check the tracker first so we do not create five dramatic clones of the same song request.
