Riko’s plan to rescue Ewan from Shinra’s clutches ended in bitter disappointment, with Ewan choosing to remain rather than escape with Riko. As Riko drowns her frustration in alcohol, fate throws the artful Gero across her path, leading to an unlikely team-up.
