Osuke and Nijio have come to discover that their acquaintance goes further back than either of them could have known, and that both their fantastical powers came from the same god. But this god is strangely attached to Nijio, and dangerous. To keep them both safe, Osuke has decided that they will continue working together as partners. Meanwhile, Nijio has come to a different realization altogether-he has feelings for Osuke-and he fears pulling Osuke in too deep. Just as unspoken doubts are beginning to take a toll on their partnership, Ten invites Osuke to accompany him on a job to some hot springs in a mysterious, remote village...just the two of them! Will this be the incentive Nijio needs to start bridging the gap between them?
