Kanna Nozomi always wanted to work at a veterinary clinic, but when he finally set foot on his dream career path, he developed an allergy to dogs, which cost him his new job. Undeterred, Kanna searched for a vet who specialized in exotic animals, meaning anything but dogs and cats, and found the Gekko Animal Hospital. Dr. Gekko is a woman of clipped words but a wealth of information about exotic animals. Dr. Gekko quickly sets about training him on how to work with the wilder side of the animal kingdom.
