With the departure of their most recent houseguest, former noblewoman Lysithea Del Arman and broker Taron Cardis can finally relax—and prepare for Lysithea’s long-awaited escape across the sea. In one of their many moments of passion, Lysithea even asks Taron to run away with her. However, he coldly turns her down, and she’s left reeling at what this could mean for their relationship. Soon, she begins to notice the odd ways Taron has behaved since they met. Is the eerie and unsettling mansion they’ve been holed up in for an entire winter to blame?
