As teenagers, Erika and Emi meet at an overnight summer camp Erika never wanted to attend. Emi refuses to be discouraged by Erika’s antisocial defenses, and the two form a bond that stays with them long after the summer ends. Now in their thirties, they look back on that friendship and wonder what might have happened if either had understood it differently at the time.
