Cat student Hachi finds school and most of daily life dull until Aoi, a quiet lizard transfer student, joins his class. Aoi’s reserved personality and strong academic ability make him difficult to approach, but Hachi becomes curious enough to keep trying. Helping Aoi open up gradually brings color into Hachi’s own life and turns an unlikely interspecies friendship into first love.
