Aloof tabby Kijineko views himself as a dignified creature inexplicably surrounded by humans who interpret nearly everything he does as adorable. Former stray Kuroneko is equally unimpressed by human behavior. Their inner monologues turn ordinary cat ownership upside down, following two prickly cats who consider food, insects, personal space, and household routines far more important than whatever their devoted humans think they are doing.
