After escaping the dangerous traditions of Hirasaka, Shinto priest Yoshiomi and police officer Norito have grown closer while trying to build a life beyond the village's old rituals. Their uneasy peace ends when Yoshiomi's younger twin, Miwa, disappears from the coma in which he had remained. The search draws Yoshiomi and Norito back toward the mysteries surrounding the twins and the village, forcing them to risk both their safety and the fragile relationship they have only begun to build.
