Hekidou and Hakurei have been separated by Shinsui, Hekidou’s birth mother, who intends to mate with her own son to repopulate the endangered dragon race―and she isn’t afraid to use Hakurei’s life as a bargaining chip to get her way. In Shinsui’s eyes, no act of coercion is too cruel if it’s to save the species…but is that what Hekidou wants? While he weighs his options for escape, Hakurei roams the land in search of him, even risking stepping into enemy tiger territory.
