Seven years after leaving his island hometown, Hozumi returns for a high school reunion carrying regret over the lie that ended his closest friendship. As teenagers, Mishima confessed his feelings and Hozumi rejected him despite secretly feeling the same way. Hozumi now wants to apologize, but Mishima has withdrawn from the town and lives alone in the lighthouse once tended by his grandfather.
