High schooler Hodaka runs away from his island home to Tokyo during a season of seemingly endless rain. Struggling to support himself, he meets Hina, a girl able to clear the sky through prayer. The two begin using her gift to help people who desperately want sunshine, but the weather grows increasingly unstable and Hina’s power carries a personal cost. Their choices become inseparable from the question of how much one person should sacrifice for everyone else’s idea of a better world.
