Seeking a break from city life, Izuki agrees to look after his uncle’s house in the mountains, despite local stories about yokai. After an encounter in the woods, he is rescued by Haku, a mysterious man who claims to be a komainu guardian spirit and promptly pledges himself to Izuki.
