College student Kiyo is desperate to become more popular with women, so he recruits his handsome clubmate Issei to help make his own approachable image stand out. The plan backfires spectacularly: Kiyo is treated as a safe best friend instead of a romantic prospect, while Issei begins acting as though their supposed partnership might not be pretend at all.
