Vampire hunter Saki Fujimiya should see vampire Miyoko Kujou as nothing more than a natural enemy, but every attempt to treat her that way goes strangely wrong. Miyoko delights in provoking Saki, and the hunter’s inability to finish the job turns a simple predator-versus-prey relationship into an increasingly obvious romantic rivalry.
