Coco lives alone in a mansion at the edge of a town where dangerous creatures haunt the roads, accompanied only by her black cat Kuro. To Coco, Kuro is an affectionate and entertaining pet; to everyone else, the animal is clearly something much stranger, quietly protecting the garden from monsters while raising unsettling questions about what Kuro truly is.
