Yusei tells himself he hates his childhood friend Itsuki, whose talent and charm make Yusei feel constantly outmatched. Itsuki could seemingly succeed anywhere, yet keeps choosing to spend his time with Yusei. Unable to understand why that bothers him so much, Yusei tries to create distance and instead has to confront how much the friendship—and Itsuki himself—actually means to him.
