Young musicians Kyousuke and Kai are about to make their debut when Kai dies in an accident. Three years later Kyousuke has nearly abandoned music, only for Kai to appear before him exactly as he remembers. The impossible reunion draws Kyousuke back toward performing and forces him to confront both grief and the mystery of why his supposedly dead partner has returned.
