Witch Zoe leaves the Isle of Wizards seeking freedom and soon finds a partner and a new life, only to be widowed shortly after marriage. She later meets Eliza and learns that longtime friend Sisyka has also lost her husband. The three women decide to train as witches together, turning shared grief into friendship and a deliberate effort to build futures on their own terms.
