Sadako is a supernatural curse accustomed to terrifying victims through old media, but her next encounter introduces her to a cheerful young girl who happens to share her name. Sadako-chan decides the ghost needs help adapting to the modern era and begins teaching her about newer ways of reaching people. The comedy reimagines a horror icon’s curse as an awkward partnership between an ominous spirit and a child determined to update her methods—and perhaps help her move forward.
