Now in a relationship, Okitsu and Ibu leave Okinawa for Tokyo, where Ibu’s claimed mind-reading ability may help untangle the trauma behind Okitsu’s claustrophobia. Their investigation takes them back toward the site of a kidnapping in Okitsu’s past and brings long-buried memories closer to the surface. Finding answers does not automatically make the couple closer, however, and the revelations force both men to confront how difficult it is to share a life when one partner seems able to hear what the other cannot say.
