Wildlife photographer Narumi travels to Hokkaido hoping to photograph the elusive animals known as “snow fairies” and becomes stranded during a winter storm. Local farmer Haruki rescues him and offers him a place to stay until the season changes. Living together brings the outgoing city photographer and reserved country resident into each other’s worlds, with photography gradually becoming the language through which their relationship changes.
