Wataru Sajou has spent a long time openly pursuing classmate Aika Natsukawa, convinced that someday she might return his feelings. Then he suddenly decides that someone like her is out of his league and begins keeping his distance. Aika interprets the abrupt change as rejection, leaving both teenagers convinced their affection is one-sided. Their romance grows out of the misunderstandings created when one person finally stops chasing just as the other starts noticing what his attention meant.
