Teenager Takashi Arashiro is bullied for being gay and wishes he could become someone—or something—other than himself. His emotional distress unexpectedly manifests as a transformation into a strange kaiju-like creature, making the difference he wanted to escape impossible to hide. The surreal change becomes a way for Takashi to confront shame, isolation, identity, and the way other people react when what feels monstrous to him becomes visible on the outside.
