Sixth grader Natsuru Nanao skips soccer camp and spends the summer with his quiet classmate Rio Suzumura and her younger brother. What begins as an unexpected friendship becomes a refuge from the adults and expectations surrounding them. Natsuru gradually realizes that Rio’s fragile home life contains a secret the siblings have been carrying alone, forcing children who wanted only a peaceful summer to face circumstances far beyond their age.
