A university student wanders through Kyoto over the course of one long night, following whatever strange encounter, drink, event, or invitation appears next. An upperclassman who has quietly liked her for some time chooses the same evening to engineer a series of “coincidental” meetings in hopes of finally getting closer to her. Their paths repeatedly cross through a city full of eccentric people, while her spontaneous journey refuses to follow the romantic plan he imagined.
