An unnamed Kyoto University student is convinced he has wasted his college years by making one wrong choice after another. After a chance encounter with a self-proclaimed god, his life begins playing out across alternate versions of the campus experience he wishes he had chosen, each involving his troublesome friend Ozu and his feelings for the sharp-tongued Akashi. Moving through these parallel possibilities, he repeatedly gets the chance to reconsider what a truly satisfying college life might look like.
