Momo survives by relying on other people and has little interest in changing until the dependable Yata takes him in after an uncomfortable first meeting. Momo initially treats Yata’s kindness as another resource he can use, but living together gradually gives him a reason to become more responsible. Their adult relationship is complicated by Momo’s past and by the return of someone who previously exercised an unhealthy degree of control over his life.
