On rainy mornings, student Takao skips school and spends time alone in Shinjuku Gyoen, where he dreams of a future different from the one expected of him. There he repeatedly encounters Yukino, an older woman who is also avoiding part of her daily life. Their quiet conversations build an unlikely friendship between two people who meet only when it rains, each gradually becoming a source of honesty and encouragement for the other.
