Pianist Kirino fears he has reached the limit of his talent and directs his frustration toward younger colleague Takase, whose admiration makes him easy to manipulate. What begins as a selfish attempt to soothe jealousy turns into dependence, forcing Kirino to confront how much he relies on the very person whose devotion he has been exploiting.
