Calen awakens in Limbo with no memories beyond a life as a soldier and is given the powers of a reaper as part of his atonement. Working beside caretaker Makoto, he guides and protects the souls of the dead while learning what kind of person he may have been. Growing feelings for Makoto become tied to the larger mystery of both men’s true natures.
