High schooler Jiro Yakuin is paired with outgoing Akari Watanabe for a school “marriage practical” that requires students to live together and behave like spouses. Neither gets the partner they actually want, so they agree to perform well enough to earn the right to switch to their respective crushes. Pretending to be married becomes increasingly confusing as the intimacy required by the assignment starts feeling less pretend.
