Surfer Hinako moves to a small seaside town and meets firefighter Minato after he rescues her from an apartment fire. They fall in love through time spent together by the ocean, but a sudden tragedy ends their new relationship. Grief takes a supernatural turn when Hinako discovers that her connection to Minato may not have disappeared completely, forcing her to learn how to love someone she cannot keep beside her in an ordinary way.
