Ordinary teenager Tsukune Aono accidentally enrolls at Yokai Academy, a boarding school whose students are secretly monsters. As the only human there, exposing his identity could be dangerous, but he quickly befriends vampire Moka Akashiya and other supernatural classmates. Staying at the academy means hiding what he is while becoming part of a community of monsters whose problems range from school romance to threats that reach far beyond campus.
