In a society where same-sex marriage is ordinary, office worker Ichigi has still given up on finding a partner and quietly carries an unrequited crush on accomplished coworker Odajima. A blind date unexpectedly puts the two men face-to-face and leads Odajima to propose a practical experiment: live together for one year and see whether marriage could work. For Ichigi, the arrangement makes hiding years of feelings much harder while raising the possibility that Odajima’s interest may be more genuine than he assumes.
