Quiet high schooler Sandai Fujiwara usually expects little attention from classmates until he helps Shino Yuizaki after she falls into a ditch. Shino, who has kept other boys at a distance, suddenly begins seeking Sandai out whenever she can. Unable to believe that such a small act of kindness could have changed her feelings, Sandai spends their growing friendship wondering whether her interest is genuine while Shino makes her intentions increasingly difficult to misread.
