In 1941, Soutarou Kuramoto returns to Japan after studying abroad with one regret from childhood still unresolved: he once insulted the dancing of his closest friend, Haroumi Asuma. Haroumi has since become a renowned dancer and now avoids Soutarou’s attempts to apologize. Their reunion brings old affection back to the surface in an era when two men could not easily speak openly about love, forcing both to confront what was hidden beneath a childhood quarrel.
